You're Adventurous
but not athletic...
we got you
Do you ever wish you could be as adventurous as some of your athletic pals but you find yourself stuck feeling uncomfortable in certain activities that they want to do? It’s not easy being someone that has two left feet and someone who trips on air and has awful anxiety if they spend more than 30 minutes in a wilderness setting. But fear not, the trauma will finally come to an end as we give you five ideas on how you and your athletic friends can compromise for an adventurous (and semi-athletic) day out.

1. Citi Bike riding in Miami Beach
Bike riding is very adventurous and athletic and these Citi bikes make it so much easier to do so. The Citi Bikes are scattered throughout the streets of Miami Beach and all you have to do is rent one and you’re on your way. The basic-ness of these bikes is the best part! You do not need to be super athletic to know how to ride these things, you just need to know how to brake (a little). Suddenly, the death traps you thought of as bikes before are now used for an enjoyable activity for you and your pals.
2. Speed Boat Tours
This might sound like a tourist-only trap, but it is not! Speed boat tours are an adventurous way of discovering Miami (tourists or locals alike). They take you through the exclusive areas of Miami’s elite and their homes– all while going 60 mph on a boat.

3. Kayaking in Key Biscayne
Kayaking is a little bit tricky but I’m here to walk you through it. You can either attempt to put in 50% of the work in and not be able to move for the next three days from how unbelievably sore you are OR you can just take that really athletic friend I mentioned earlier and make them do all the work. Regardless of what you choose, kayaking in Biscayne is beautiful beyond compare– and I suggest doing so in the early mornings or late afternoons for the ultimate WOW experience.

4 . Vizcaya Museum + Garden
This historic site and museum is a perfect place for a nice afternoon. This is one of the most beautiful places Miami has to offer and not many others like it exist. Once you enter this majestic scenery, your adventurous side is likely to make an appearance.
5. Venetian Pool
Located in Coral Gables, the Venetian pool is a famous attraction in Miami. It is a F R E E Z I N G cold pool made out of natural spring water. One can either relax and get some sun or go for a swim in its unique waters. Venetian pool also has fake caves where for a second, if you close your eyes really quickly, you can pretend you are in the middle of rainforest somewhere and not in a pool. But c’ mon, nothing says adventurous and not athletic like a fake cave. Saved this one for last because I know you’ll love it the best ;)
